Chanteur Rock 'n' Roll US né Eskew Reeder Jr. à New Orleans (Louisiane). Esquerita a écrit et chanté quelques-uns des plus excitants Rock 'n' Roll. Sa courte carrière (1958/59) n'a pas connu de succès à l'époque. Il possédait un registre de voix plus faible que celui de Little Richard, et ses intonations et hurlements l'ont fait confondre avec celui-ci. Il enregistra pour Capitol (58/59), Minit, Okeh et Instant Records, sans résultat. Esquerita est réapparu en 1970 comme compositeur pour un album Reprise Records de Little Richard... Il est décédé le 23 octobre 1986 à Harlem (New York).
