The 16th Rockabilly Rave Thursday 14th - Monday 18th June 2012

It's hard to believe that the Rockabilly Rave is going to be 16 years old in June! It's also hard to believe that so many of you have supported the Rave for all of that time... and have not been arrested, gone deaf or retired to the Benny Joy Wing of the Sunny View Sanatorium for the musically insane. It occurred to me - in a rare thoughtful moment that found me distressingly sober (by rockin standards) - that there will now be 16 and 17 years olds coming to the Rave for the first time and that some of those may well have been conceived at the first Raves! Well of course you lot were at it like rabbits back then... especially the couple in the corner of the restaurant at the first Rave... which nearly got us banned for life... mind you in their defence of shagging in a public place; firstly they were drunk and secondly it was freezing in the chalets back then... Anyway the point is the Rave welcomes a new generation of rockin people into the scene. Heaven help them if they turn out anything like you lot.

With all the money being spent on Pontins by the new owners, it was inevitable that there would be a small increase in price from the site, but we are very happy that it has been minimal and the Rave price will only be going up £5 per day from last year... a small price to pay for the massive line up and the best rockin event on the planet!!! Don't worry, this will still leave you enough money to drink more than your own bodyweight in beer...
