Chanteur US né James Cecil Dickens, le 19 décembre 1920 à Bolt, Raleigh County (Virginie). "Little" Jimmy Dickens a débuté en 1937 sur la radio WJLS de Beckley (Virginie) et passe au "Grand Ole Opry" de Nashville (Tennessee) à partir de 1948. En 1949, il obtient un contrat avec la Columbia Records où il restera jusqu'au milieu des années soixante dix, pour passer ensuite chez Starday. "Little" Jimmy Dickens fut élu au "Country Music Hall Of Fame" en 1983.
