Mandoliniste
et compositeur US, né le 17 Décembre 1935 à Grundy (Virginie), décédé le 3 Mai
2000 à Gray (Tennessee). Bill Napier à débuter avec les
Stanley Brothers à la fin des
années 50, jouant de la mandoline et
assurant des
numéros comiques sous le nom de « Dad » Napier. En 1960, En 1960, il s'est
associé à Charlie Moore, jouant aussi bien de la guitare solo que du banjo, dans
le duo Moore et Napier.
Après la séparation du duo, Napier s'est installé dans le Michigan, où il a
effectué des enregistrements de manière sporadique.
